UNDERWATER POSITIONING AND SURVEYING SUPPORT
Underwater Positioning and surveying services is to provide a precise and accurate underwater positioning data using a high tech acoustic surveying methodology and equipment to deliver global, high-accuracy acoustic positioning designed to meet the requirements of all offshore positioning and navigation applications.
Underwater Positioning and surveying services mainly utilized a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) and DIVER to serve the need of the task operation.
Underwater Positioning Methodology
- Ultra Short BaseLine (USBL)
- Long Base Line (LBL)
- Long & Ultra Short Base Line (LUSBL)
- Inertial Navigation System (INS)
A Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) is highly manoeuvrable and able to provide video and still camera imagery along with information from various other sensors to inspect, observe, and measure the condition of subsea assets. ROV required precise and accurate underwater positioning to support their various task operation.
Operated ROVs to acquire data for the following tasks:
- Salvage assistance
- Pipeline inspection surveys (as-laid, as-built and maintenance surveys)
- Construction support
- Drill rig support
- Platform inspections
- Hazard/debris clearance surveys
- CP surveys
- Profiler Beam/ Imaging Sonar
A Diver underwater positioning required acoustic positioning support to gather information during operation. The accurate position and relative height of the diver shall monitored and recorded simultaneously using underwater positioning:
- Riser installation
- SBM Hose replacement and Installation
- Subsea structure installation and etc
ROV or diver systems can be deployed from a client-supplied vessel, platform, or rig.
Additionally, multi-beam echo sounders, side scan sonars, sub bottom profilers and magnetic profiling systems can be mobilised and interfaced to the ROV for seabed charting and event list.
ROV data processing and charting deliverables are tailored to meet a client’s specific requirements
